Combining the 1980s gothic rock with doom and death style, mourning bipeds threw themselves into the pessimism recondite. Not afraid of being unhappy, they increased the metal music with keyboards, synthesizers, violins and duets under the "the beauty and the beast" formula: girls dividing verses with screaming ogres, a recurrent resource in the Norwegian Theater of Tragedy works. What really leaves them sad, however, is to realize that such devotion to darkness is branded by surface inhabitants as "dark." Isn’t it something to die for?
